October is substance Abuse Awareness month.This event will be to spread awareness and give resources as well as raise funds for the upcoming opening of the fathers house which is a sober living home for men. Therefore we will be selling a picnic plate which is $7.00 for adults and $3.50 for children. This will include a hotdog with all the fixings, potato chips, a side salad of macaroni salad or potato salad, a dessert and a drink. There will also be music provided by Corey Emry and Mike Almon. Please bring a cover to sit on the ground and enjoy the music or bring your favorite lawnchair. There will be a bouncy house for the kids as well as face painting. We will have a silent auction and we do have quite a few great donations from the community and I will update later exactly what those items are and what the starting bids will be. Please come and support such a good cause and have a bite to eat and enjoy the music. We will also be accepting cash donations. I can accept them instantly through Venmo so if that is the case just let me know and I can send you my Venmo account information or we can take donations the day of the event.
